I have been reading and appreciating all types of blogs since I was introduced to them a year ago. I have decided to try my hand at one as well. It's amazing how many excellent writers are out there all ready - hopefully I can measure up.
This blog is principally about cooking and interesting recipes the good, the bad and the ugly! As in...There was a girl with a chocolate curl....when the cooking was good it was very very good but when it was bad it was horrid!
So here's to the first day - I've got a polish fermenting in the kitchen for some lovely bread later on. If It turns out I'll photo it and share the recipe - if it doesn't turn out I'll photo it but you probably won't want the recipe. Hope to hear from some of you soon whether triumphs or failures...

Trish,
Welcome to blogging. And I think you mean "poolish fermenting" not
polish fermenting."{g}
Don't worry about it, the biggest problem with blogging is being your own editor. Seriously, it drives me bats.
Just saw your comment on Operation Baking GALS site...you can certainly get involved and not have a blog...we can still email you, and you us, we'll give you the soldiers name and address, and we'll still THANK YOU on our Round Up post...in fact, several of the people this month have no blog, but I'll just be saying their name and what they sent in the thank you...but good question!! And welcome to blogging, I hope you'll enjoy it!!
Trish,
Thanks for stopping by my blog and thanks for the compliments on my photos. Did you have a chance to check out my Flikr page? That's where most of my best ones are. lol
As for the "After All" thing - I Googled it too and found nothing about it. I actually went back there the other day and walked around the sign and the opening to the property - just looked like a bunch of woods. Behind the two white brick columns sit two older, crumbling columns which might have been the entrance to a home or something.
I asked a few kids I saw walking on the road nearby and they didn't know anything about it. I'm intrigued too!!
Anyway...thanks for reading (lurking) and thanks for commenting. Hope you come back!!

Trish,
Good to see you again and thanks for my birthday wishes - even though I TOTALLY campaigned for them! LOL
And if you feel half your age, I better start drinking that midwestern water!!
Hola Trish! Welcome to the foodie bloggers world!
I'm waiting expectantly for those bread pictures ;D
Good luck!
Hi Trish thanks for stopping by my blog.
They are Western Alternative Bagels. I find them at the Super center Walmart in the refrigerated section by the cream cheese. It's the only place in the entire city of Spokane I have ever found them. They are 1 WW point and about 2/3 of the size of a normal store bought bagel. I LOOOVE bagels and cream cheese and since mornings are usually pretty hectic it's something filling.
Hope you can find them and enjoy!

HEY and thanks for following my blog! I'm a misplaced Southerner, too~ I was born & raised in Memphis and now live in Oregon. (prefer Oregon...)
You should get back to blogging, yourself! But regardless, glad to have a new friend out there!
Have a great day!
Amy
Hey - I wanted to thank you for your sweet comment. It made my day :).
